Who We Are

United Achievers’ Community Services (UACS) was established in 1985 through its affiliation with the social group, United Achievers’ Club. UACS is a thriving organization providing social services for Peel Region’s Caribbean and Black Communities. The agency supports, encourages and participates in many alliances, collaborations, social events and community activities that strengthen support and promote Peel Region’s Caribbean and Black communities.

UACS Inc. works within a culturally-sensitive, anti-oppression and diversity framework. What does this mean to you?

  • Cultural-sensitivity: understanding the needs of diverse populations and respecting cultural differences in addressing issues of disparity, competently.
  • Anti-oppression framework: it combines the use of organizational change process and a logic model to help in the identification and discussion of challenges.
  • Diversity: our commitment to growing and sustaining an inclusive learning, living and working community that encourages and celebrates cross-cultural understanding and awareness.


Our Mission:  United Achievers’ Community Services is a non-profit charitable multi-service organization serving primarily Peel Region’s Caribbean and Black communities. We are committed to strengthening and enhancing the quality of life of families and individuals, by providing culturally sensitive programs, support, resources, education and training.

Our Philosophy: The philosophy of UACS Inc is to provide prompt, competent care and culturally-appropriate services to individuals, families and groups in our communities to address current needs and understand emerging ones. We recognize that barriers to becoming integrated into Canadian life are revealed through socialization, economics and demographics. Our aim is to assist our clients by providing pathways to achieve their full potential and contribute to improving their health, well-being and quality of life, in addition to being a self-reliant citizens that fosters the strengthening of community
